Brian K Penney Ph.D. P.Eng. is the Company's Chairman. From 1995 to 2000 he was the founding President and CEO of the Telecom Applications Research Alliance (TARA), a virtual business incubator with a seed level venture capital fund and advanced telecom and Internet laboratories based in Atlantic Canada. He has held senior executive and technical positions in the telecom industry in R&D, technology, software development, strategic planning and business development. He was a system architect and software development manager for the DMS-100, Nortel's flagship product line. He was VP of Product Development at a major data-com manufacture. He was also a Computing Science professor specializing in computer networks.Doctor Penney is a member of and chairs a number of boards.


 

Lynn Mason is the Chief Executive Officer of CarteNav. Admiral Mason's career in the Canadian Forces culminated with his appointment in command of the Canadian Navy. Prior to that he had been the Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, responsible for controlling operations of the Forces, the security and intelligence functions of the Department of National Defence, and Emergency Preparedness Canada. He was also admiral in charge of NATO maritime operations at the Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic's Headquarters in Norfolk Virginia, and following that appointment assumed responsibility for managing the Navy's capital program. In recognition of his work since leaving the Canadian Forces he was awarded honourary doctorates from the Royal Military College of Canada and Dalhousie University.


 

Rick MacDonald is the Chief Technology Officer of CarteNav Solutions. He has three decades of technology and business development experience in several industries including nuclear power generation, robotics, software development tools, remote sensing and navigation. He has been working on the design and implementation of position-based systems since 1994, and founded CarteNav in 2002 after the realization that integrated data communications was a critical missing component of most current systems. Mr. MacDonald recently stepped down from chairing the Board of the Hospice Society of Greater Halifax and is the co-chair of the Province of Nova Scotia's Voluntary Planning Board.
